About Shakti
Shakti is a 3D animated short film about an endearing, young Indian girl overcoming her fears during the Indian festival of Diwali. Ahani's charming journey aims to connect with viewers over the beauty of Diwali, the relationship between mother and daughter, and how we all have to face our fears.

Our ideal audience would be those wishing to learn about the beauty of different cultures. We hope to connect with them by showing them how people celebrate Diwali in an authentic manner (using actual experiences!) by showing a charming emotional journey of a young girl.

Emotional Imagery
In Shakti, we follow our main character's emotional journey as she faces her fears; We wanted to emphasize her growth by visually interpreting and animating each emotion in 2D. In this way, we’re able to combine multiple animation styles and get a better understanding of her journey.
Shakti will focus on the skillful compositing and integration of the thematic imagery seen in the key shapes on the left throughout the set, clothing, and 2D motion graphics.

Ideating further emotional sketches
These sketches were the next step to further ideate and brainstorm how these shapes can move across the screen and morph into one another to depict the protagonist's emotions
